Backstory Behind the Piece – Q&A with Chris

ArtCorgi: What inspired you to commission original art as a holiday gift?

Chris: I was inspired to commission some original art by my wife’s love of art and by the birth of our first child. I thought this would be a fun and interesting change from the normal family portraits.

ArtCorgi: What advice would you give to a first-time art commissioner who would like to commission a gift for a family member, but isn’t sure where to start?

Chris: My advice would be to look through the various artist’s portfolios and find a style that appeals to you. What they have posted is very representative of what your finished artwork will be. Don’t be afraid to comment and make suggestions, it is your artwork and you have to be happy with it.
