Thenizu’s beautiful pen portraits are an absolute treat for the eyes! Elegant and bold, a portrait that makes a statement! These traditional pen portraits make for wonderful gifts, wall art, desktop backgrounds, and more.
- Turnaround time: Two weeks
- Subject options & guidelines: I’d like clients to ask solely for head-shots (from the shoulders up). It’s important for them to send as many and as detailed photo references as they can, since I’m offering a very realistic type of portrait. ID-like portraits are bound to result a bit boring, so more spontaneous poses are preferred, 3/4 profile shots are usually more visually interesting. In order to “frame” the portrait in a pleasing and more polished way, the client is invited to suggest tokens or some sort of symbols relative to the person portrayed. If the client is interested, I could also include floral decorations, following the classical language of flowers: I would help the client choose a particular plant if given the right directions. E.g. If the person portrayed is expected to convey courage and serenity, I would suggest Alstroemeria flower and Artemisia leaves. I would be happy to also include short quotes that can be “nestled” into the illustration with a lettering style.
Your final work will arrive as a digital image, ready for you to set as social media cover images, profile avatars, desktop backgrounds, mobile device lock screens, and more. We encourage you to print your digital commission through the service of your choice, though we’re happy to send physical prints directly to you as well (see our commission prints category for options). Your image, which will arrive as a JPEG, at least 3000 by 3000 pixels and a minimum of 250 pixels per inch, will be of high enough quality to print in virtually any format.
About Thenizu
I’m an Italian artist, based in North Italy. I’m always looking for a new plant to babysit and a new tea flavor to try. I love exploring new places and I’m perpetually planning the next adventure. I feel better if I’m surrounded by nature, but I also enjoy busy streets and misty skylines. Please let me pet your doggo.
