Client Spotlight: Matt’s amazing Jurassic Park themed proposal artwork!

matt's jurassic park themed proposal artwork by ArtOfRam - ArtCorgi

We recently had the chance to work with Matt on his incredible proposal artwork! Given how ArtCorgi was founded after Malcolm used commissioned art to propose to (now wife) Simone, we’re no strangers to proposal art! However, when Matt decided to turn his proposal artwork into a Jurassic Park themed one, we couldn’t contain our excitement!

Matt graciously agreed to participate in one of our Client Spotlight Interviews to tell us more about his proposal and his experience on ArtCorgi. For his artwork, Matt opted to work with ArtOfRam in his characteristic ‘Movie poster’ style! Cool, no?

Continue reading to learn how Matt came up with the idea and how it all played out!

Hey, Matt! It was an absolute pleasure working with you on this piece! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Matt. I am 30 years old. I live in Rhode Island and with the help of ArtCorgi I am now currently engaged to my best friend and love of my life.

Awws! We couldn’t be more honored to hear that! How did you come up with the idea to commission a piece of art to use in your proposal?

I wanted something original for my engagement while also including something that Gaby and I both love (Jurassic Park). I spent months planning my proposal and finally came up with the idea of using an original piece of artwork. I knew that with a commissioned piece of art I could imagine whatever I wanted to and have an artist take that idea and turn it into something tangible.

How sweet is that!? What made you choose ArtCorgi for your proposal art? How did you go about choosing an artist?

I spent a lot of time online researching different ideas and articles about commissioned artwork. Eventually I came across a story about someone who used commissioned art for his proposal and then launched a website where people could commission artwork easily for themselves. After I landed on the ArtCorgi website I knew that I had found the place. I had tons of artistic styles and options to choose from and I could view samples of previous works from each artist. I chose my artist based on the look I wanted and could not be more pleased.

Yay for ArtCorgi inspiring you and making it easy for you to get your own proposal artwork! I’m so happy to see you decided to add a touch of fantasy to your piece. What made you choose a Jurassic Park theme for your proposal artwork?

We are huge Jurassic Park fans and a piece like the one I had commissioned is one of a kind. I could propose to her however and wherever I wanted to but nothing would be more romantic than being proposed to in front of the Jurassic Park Gates.

So true! How did you incorporate the artwork into the proposal? How did your (now) fiancée react?

I surprised Gaby with the proposal at home after the final artwork was completed. The proposal at home was very special and I showed the piece to her afterwards as an added bonus. I will never forget the look on her face because of how happy she was. She couldn’t wait to share the engagement news and our artwork to everyone. This original piece is something that we will always have to remember the moment. It’s going to be quite the conversation piece for guests.

Haha! I’m sure it will! It’s amazing! Is there anything else you want to share with us?

You guys fulfilled every promise you made to me and I cannot thank you all enough. This has truly been an amazing experience and we will certainly be commissioning more artwork through ArtCorgi in the future. We have already recommended ArtCorgi to many of our friends as well.

Thank you for your support and for letting us get to know more about you and your unique proposal artwork, Matt! We wish you both a wonderful life together!
