While Crespella is excellent with professional headshots, she also illustrates elegant fashion portraits, as you can see with this charming piece commissioned by fashion blogger Lovely Grey.

Backstory Behind the Piece – Q&A with Lovely Grey
ArtCorgi (AC): What inspired you to commission an illustrated portrait of yourself?
Lovely Grey (LG): I’ve always been a big fan of art, I’m a frustrated artist myself. Hence I was always so curious about how other people and artists see me. I was very happy when I stumbled upon ArtCorgi; there are a lot of talented artists there. And I am very happy with my commissioned portrait done by Crespella.
AC: We love your style! What do you think defines it and sets it apart? Do you have any particular fashion heroes or favorite brands?
LG: My personal style when it comes to dressing up is: moody and minimal. What sets apart one’s style in general is the way a person carries herself and the image/message she wanted to convey with it. Fashion heroes: Kate Moss, Isabel Marant and Olivia Palermo.
AC: Sometimes choosing a reference photo for a commission is the hardest part. How did you choose which reference photos to send to Crespella? Is the outfit shown one of your favorites?
LG: Yes it’s one of my favorite outfits. Choosing a reference photo is not that difficult, you find a photo where you look your best or the one which mood you like best, then make minor changes later if you opt to, I mean it’s up to you to do so.
