Backstory Behind the Piece: Q&A with the Client

ArtCorgi (AC): What inspired you to commission this art?

Anonymous (A): I am proposing to my girlfriend in June in New York city. My favorite comic book character is batman. I searched through comic book love interests for Batman and i found Natalia Nocterum. It was perfect. My girlfriend’s name is Natalie and she is sexy and elegant like the character. I wanted to give her this photo looking out at the nyc skyline from rockefeller plaza. As she is opening it, i will get down on my knee and present the ring.

AC: How did you go about selecting an artist/style?

A: Comic book style was what I was looking for and I found some great work by the artist

AC: What advice would you give to a friend who is commissioning art for the first time?

A: Make it special. A memory that will last forever.
